HairCS Converts Game-Ready Hair Cards Back Into Millions of Actual Strands
HairCS, from researchers at the University of Utah, LIGHTSPEED and UCLA, is an automated pipeline converting hair-card models into production-quality strand-based hair. Output meets standard requirements — strands rooted at the scalp, uniform root distribution, plausible volume — and works with strand rendering, physics simulation and grooming modifiers. A dataset is released.
