Analogue Solutions Will Copy Roland's Schematics — the Same Company That Refused to Copy EMS's
Announced at SynthFest UK on 24 October, the Series 700 is a £33,000 replica of a modular synth that fetches £150,000 secondhand. The notable part is the company's reversal: Analogue Solutions' Colossus page says plainly that it did not copy EMS circuits and prefers its own designs. For Roland, it says almost every circuit has been reproduced from original schematics.
