Generated Clocks Always Read 10:10, and Writing the Time in the Prompt Barely Helps
A single-author study measured how often text-to-image models reproduce the advertising convention of setting watch hands to 10:10, then tested three ways out. Prompting with digits reaches 34% full accuracy on current models; describing the hand positions in words does no better; supplying a drawn reference image reaches 75%. All images, prompts and readings are released.
