Someone Compiled a Neural Network Into a DOOM Map, Using Voodoo Dolls as Logic Gates
doomformer, a project by developer alp, compiles an integer neural network into a playable DOOM map. It uses the engine's obscure 'voodoo doll' mechanic to do arithmetic: light levels and floor heights hold values, and every computed result is read back and checked against a NumPy reference with zero tolerance for error. One demo map runs a full MNIST digit classifier using 1,355 voodoo dolls.
