A Six-Target SSVEP Speller That Writes a Sentence in Under Five Seconds
Flicker six targets at six different frequencies, read which one the visual cortex locks onto, and you have six commands without a single muscle movement. Aarav Sharma — who started on a 3D-printed brain-controlled arm at 14 — has turned that into a speller, with a language model proposing words and the user keeping the final say. Reported response times are under five seconds for a full sentence.
