A VR Headset Made Some Patients' Hand Tremors Visibly Calmer — Just by Changing What They Saw
A new exploratory study puts consumer-level VR hand tracking in front of essential tremor patients and finds something unexpected: the altered visual feedback itself — not any drug or device — reduced tremor-band activity in several patients' hand kinematics and muscle readings, especially while reaching. It's an early pilot, not a treatment, but it's a genuinely new use for VR as a research instrument.
