RLMuscle Simulates 194 Muscles at 18 ms a Frame So Animators Stop Hand-Tuning Activations
In most 3D pipelines artists specify muscle activation by hand — slow, and with no guarantee of physical realism. A Beihang and UCL team trains an RL controller on a 1D Hill-type surrogate, then drives a 3D volumetric simulation with the same constitutive law, hitting full-body simulation at 18 ms per frame on one RTX 4090.
