Tarek Atoui Is Treating the Turbine Hall Itself as the Instrument
Lebanese artist and composer Tarek Atoui takes over Tate Modern's Turbine Hall from October 13, 2026 with a large-scale sound installation built from experimental instruments and sculptural structures. His practice is the invention and reinvention of instruments, made with craftspeople and engineers, and his subject is sound travelling through space, materials and the body.
