Two Artists, One Painting Machines and One Building Them, Open at Fou Gallery This Weekend
Synthetic Mobility, curated by Nina Chkareuli-Mdivani, pairs Tokyo- and New York-based painter Ai Makita with Houston-based kinetic sculptor Sizhu Li at Fou Gallery in New York, September 19 – November 8, 2026. The show takes its title from the algorithmic generation of realistic human movement patterns, and leans on Timothy Morton's hyperobjects.
