The ESP32-S31 Can Boot Linux, Because Espressif Finally Added the Page Tables
Espressif's ESP32-S31 can run Linux, and the reason is in the data sheet rather than the clock speed: the cores implement Sv32 two-level page-table address translation and machine, supervisor and user privilege modes. Espressif published a Buildroot and U-Boot based Linux BSP in August.
