SpY Built a 20-Meter Black Triangle in Madrid and Wired It to CCTV Cameras Pointed at the Square
Spanish urban artist SpY's PANOPTICON is a 20-meter equilateral black triangle installed in Madrid's Plaza de Cibeles, directly fronting the Palacio de Cibeles. Concealed viewing apertures along its perimeter show visitors fragmented, live CCTV footage from apex-mounted cameras, turning the installation into a working model of Jeremy Bentham's panopticon.
