Grip pressure shapes skilled grasping but stays invisible to the person doing the gripping. A new preprint from UC Santa Barbara researchers compares pressure-visualization styles on an instrumented glove, finding a continuous gradient display outperforms a discrete bar display on accuracy — even though participants rated the bar as feeling more precise.
