A Frozen Harmoniser Met 439 Human Chord Choices and Agreed With 20% of Them
Josef Pavlíček and Martin Pelikán took an explainable melody harmoniser built for single songs, froze its rules, and ran it against 19 HookTheory excerpts — 439 harmonic segments of human-annotated chords. Exact agreement was 20.5%. The useful number is the split underneath it: in 46.24% of segments the human chord was not even in the model's candidate set.
