Ruben Moutinho Makes Sculpture Out of the Prototypes Research Projects Throw Away
Industrial designer and researcher Ruben Moutinho harvests discarded prototypes, failed experiments and obsolete components from scientific and technological development projects, then cuts, layers and fuses them into one-off sculptural objects. Each keeps the name of its source research project. The process, called STRATA, refuses to disguise where any of it came from.
