Thirty-Two Speaker Tutus From 1989 Are Being Repaired on Stage in Wuppertal
Benoît Maubrey has made wearable electroacoustic sculptures since the 1980s. Clearing his archive near Berlin, he turned up 32 Audio Tutus spanning 1989 to the present — all fully functional, needing only a 12V battery and a belt. At the Repair & Share Festival in Wuppertal on 31 October, a free public workshop will diagnose and upgrade them with open-source hardware.
