Teaching Stage Lighting in VR, With an LLM Turning What the Instructor Says Into What Students See
LumiNote, a study with 3 instructors and 24 students, is an LLM-assisted VR system that turns an instructor's spoken pedagogical intent into reviewable spatial annotations and executable lighting demonstrations. LLM help proved most valuable for expressive, under-specified goals and needed expert correction for fixture-specific or spatial configuration requests.
