Tarek Atoui Turned the Turbine Hall Into an Instrument, and Coated Issey Miyake Fabric in Graphite to Do It
The Hyundai Commission opened at Tate Modern on 13 October and runs to 11 April. Atoui treats the hall's reverberation as a compositional input, and the work changes shape as more than 40 musicians pass through it over six months.
