Framestore Rebuilt a Decayed Manhattan by Painting Only Where the Eye Goes
Framestore's New York team, led by VFX supervisor Steve Drew, built the post-apocalyptic Manhattan of The Walking Dead: Dead City season 3 — including a hero flight over a destroyed CG Empire State Building. The methodology is the interesting part: focal points fully detailed, everything else deliberately impressionistic.
