A 2006 Ensoniq SQ-80 Emulation Has Been Rebuilt From Its Own Binary and Ported to Every Desktop OS
SQ8L, the free Ensoniq SQ-80 emulation Kullmann released in 2006, now runs as VST2, VST3, AU, CLAP and LV2 on macOS, Linux and Windows. Because the source was never published, the revival team rebuilt the plugin from the original binary. At 8 voices the sound is bit-exact; a new VOICES parameter goes to 64.
