Jenny Holzer Turned the Musée d'Orsay Into a Reading Surface
For J'ai Vu, opening 20 October at the Musée d'Orsay, Jenny Holzer projects roughly 250 excerpts by 34 authors onto the museum's Seine-facing facade, runs coloured LED text through four galleries, and installs 19 marble benches and columns carved with letters written between 1848 and 1914. The facade projections are free from the riverbank, and they only run five nights.
