Meta Is Putting $1M Into VR Apps, and Every Entry Has to Work With Hands Alone
Meta's VR Start Developer Competition runs 24 September to 18 November 2026, with $1M in total prizes ranging from $20,000 to $100,000 and winners announced around 11 December. The hard constraint: submissions must be fully usable with hands, end-to-end — no controllers — because the Meta VR Glasses shipping in spring 2027 don't have any.
