Point, Select, Drag an Arrow: an XR Pen Beats Controllers and Gestures for Telling a Robot Where to Go
A study posted September 25 presents an AR control interface using a commercial XR pen to command a semi-autonomous mobile robot: point at a position in the room, select it, then drag an augmented arrow to set the robot's orientation at that destination. It's compared against two other interfaces, and the premise is that controllers and hand gestures remain unintuitive.
