Both models use FlashSwap, Flashforge’s tool-changing mechanism, across 4 independent toolheads on a CoreXY frame with a 256mm cubed build volume, printing at up to 600mm/s. The core promise is “near-zero purge waste” — because each toolhead is a physically separate nozzle already loaded with its own material, switching colors or materials mid-print doesn’t require flushing the old material out of a shared nozzle, which is where single-nozzle multi-material systems lose most of their filament. The Pro model adds a fully enclosed chamber, a 65°C heated chamber, and HEPA filtration, unlocking engineering materials that need consistent heat and particulate control to print reliably — a genuine capability difference, not just a convenience upgrade, for the $150 gap between the two models.
